Morocco has secured their spot at the 2026 World Cup on Friday night with a huge win over Niger.
It only took six qualifying matches for Morocco to earn their spot among the best nations in the world next summer. They won each of their matches, beating Niger 5-0 on Friday night, meaning they were handed a spot with just two games left.
The Moroccan team had their best run in African history at the tournament in Qatar four years ago. They made it to the semi-finals, before conceding defeat from France. They will be hoping to repeat that feat in the United States next summer.
Morocco are the first African nation to qualify. They have an abundance of talent at their disposal, including Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi, and Leicester midfielder Bilal El Khannouss.
Morocco still have two qualifiers left to play – against Zambia and Congo.
