Madrid Hope To Spend Between €300m, €400m On Transfer This Summer

Real Madrid will go all guns blazing this summer transfer window, hoping to sign multiple players across multiple positions. They are preparing a revolutionary break, with the intention of spending around €300-400 million.

Los Blancos have announced the departure of four of their forwards across the last week, including Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard, Mariano Diaz, and most importantly, Karim Benzema.

With Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo the only frontline options remaining in the squad at this point, Madrid are naturally going to sign multiple players across the attack, and the same was confirmed by Carlo Ancelotti during his press conference yesterday.

One of the players they are considering is Chelsea’s Kai Havertz. The German moved to Stamford Bridge in 2020 on a €80 million deal, but is not set to leave the club after a rather underwhelming three years.

Real Madrid are already in talks with Havertz’s management, according to a report by Kerry Hau. He has been thinking about leaving Chelsea for a while, now, and is very excited about the prospect of moving to Santiago Bernabeu.

Madrid’s Chief Scout, Juni Calafat, is also a huge fan of the player alongside Florentino Perez and Carlo Ancelotti.

Chelsea will ask Madrid to cough up around €60 million to sign Havertz as they want ‘important’ money for the player. They do need to sell players this summer, though, as could be in hot waters with the Financial Fair Play.

The report also says that Havertz gets along well with Toni Kroos and Antonio Rudiger, having played with them for the German National Team. Not to mention, he also won the Champions League in the same Chelsea team as the latter under Thomas Tuchel.

Madrid are also preparing a move for Harry Kane, who is their number one priority for the striker position. Tottenham Hotspur are ready to let the player go to a non-Premier League club, but have set a price tag of around €120 million on him.
