    Lagos FA Hosts Stakeholders’ Meeting to Explore Ways to Enhance Lagos State Football League

    The Lagos State Football Association through the committee saddled with organising the State Football League have set up motions towards holding a top class and hitch-free Statewide football league for both male and female teams in the state.

    Addressing teams representatives and stakeholders at the meeting held last week at the Lagos FA Secretariat. Surulere. Lagos, the Chief Executive Officer of the State League, Wale Joseph, the State league committee reassured that they are set to organization and develop the state league with new innovations, and to make it attractive to the public and  corporate bodies.

    “We are establishing and strengthening the governing body of the league with a clear mission, vision, and values. We shall formalise the rules, regulations, and standards for all the teams, players, and staffs by creating a standard for everyone.

    “We are developing diverse revenue streams through sponsorship and partnership, while also working on having a very strong social media presence with everyone’s involvement most especially the players,” he disclosed.

    Spearing further, the veteran sports journalist cum football administrator revealed that the league will accommodate 13 male clubs and 10 female teams clubs only for the 2024/2025 season. And the 13 male teams divided into six and seven teams each in the groups named Atlantic and Mainland conference same for the female teams.

    Joseph, who brimmed with confidence on the potentials of the state league setting a benchmark for grassroots football development, added,”We look towards holding and engendering a very robust youth football development system for the benefits of the game in state.”

    While thanking leadership and board of Lagos FA led Hajji Gafar Liameed, he promised that his team wouldn’t not disappoint the FA, as well as, football stakeholders for the confidence reposed in them by organising a great youth football league.
