Renowned football coach, Kadiri Ikhana is offering opportunity to talented youths to reach great heights in the world of sports, specifically football.
Ikhana through his academy, Kadiri Ikhana Academy in Auchi, Edo State is commencing open screening program for youths development.
Children under the ages of 12,14 and 16 years are expected to join others at the Auchi Polytechnic sports complex on friday 7th march at 4pm for registration.
The screening exercise commences at 8am and 4pm respectively at the same venue, on saturday 8th march .
The screening continues every weekend till talents are discovered .This exercise is open to all players who are not on existing contracts elsewhere.
Kadiri Ikhana is a renowned Nigerian football coach and former player, an indigene of Atte in Akoko Edo local government area of Edo state, Nigeria, he has had an illustrious career in football, both on and off the pitch.
As a player, Ikhana represented Nigeria at the international level, participating in FIFA World Cup qualifying matches and the 1980 Summer Olympic Games. He also won the 1980 African Cup of Nations with Nigeria.
Ikhana’s coaching career has been equally impressive, with stints at several Nigerian clubs, including El-Kanemi Warriors, BCC Lions, Kwara United, and Enyimba, among others.
He led Enyimba to win the African Champions League in 2003 and was awarded CAF’s Coach of the Year that same year
Ikhana has also managed the Nigerian women’s national team and has been praised for his coaching skills and ability to develop young players.
He’s considered one of the best coaches in Nigeria, known for his tactical acumen and ability to get the best out of his players
