As the Fuji icon, Alhaji Rasheed Ayinde popularly known as Merenge King will officially join the league of Sexagenarians on 23rd of this month, all is set for the big celebration of the diamond age with Mayegun of Yorubaland, King Wasiu Ayinde, K1 the Ultimate has confirmed his readiness to be at the bandstand.
The veteran Fuji musician in a chat with media men in Ibadan said his friends who are the organizing committee are the one in-charge of every preparation and they are not leaving any stones unturned in ensuring a memorable diamond celebration.
The milestone celebration will start with a all-white party on the 23rd July when the Merenge King will officially clocks 60 years at Bolad Events Centre, located along Akala express, New Garage Ibadan, while the grand finale will hold on the 27th July at Jogor Centre Event hall, Liberty road Oke-Ado Ibadan.
“In certain cultures, the age of 60 is seen as the beginning of a new cycle of life, and is usually well-marked, hence the decision of my friends to constitute committee to organize a befitting party”, said Merenge King
He added that “K1 the Ultimate will lead other musicians numbering almost 30 to entertain top dignitaries, royal fathers, captains of industries and all my lovers that will attend the grand finale scheduled for 27th of July this month”.
