Comrade (Dr) Adewale Adeyanju, Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and President of the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF), has praised women worldwide on International Women’s Day, commending their strength and resilience.
Adeyanju encouraged women to be proactive in their various fields, reminding them that dignity comes with hard work. He noted that successful women are those who refuse to be intimidated in a male-dominated world.
The labour leader urged women to keep fighting for their rights, especially in leadership and nation-building roles.He thanked women for their contributions to society, citing their role as symbols of peace.
Adeyanju prayed that women’s efforts in nation-building would not be in vain, saying God rewards diligence.He encouraged women to be role models, leading by example. The Oyo Prince expressed gratitude to women doing great things in their professions.
