The Group Managing Director of GTI, Lawal Abubakar has called on investors, businessmen, stakeholders and indeed Nigerians to take advantage of the investment opportunities available in the Nigeria Premier League (NPFL).
The boss of the strategic partner of the NPFL made this informed call during a recent media parley with top Sports and Business journalists at their Marina headquarters in Lagos.

According to Lawal, FIFA will soon sign up with the TNFF which is only peculiar to Nigeria league in the whole world as not even the English Premier League can boast of such.
“Don’t forget that we are investment experts which means that the huge investments GTI are making in the NPFL are no charities.

Therefore, GTI has put together many unique investment packages which guarantees huge returns on investments for potential investors. Not even the flamboyant EPL can boast of this,” Lawal noted.
“Many reputable organizations are already taking advantage of this and we are calling on the general public to key in as well”, he said.
“We have been on the first stage of the business plan which we’re now ready to proceed to the next stage after restoring confidence in the league”.
“All hands must therefore be on deck to grow the league to our desired level which GTI alone can not do”, Lawal concluded.

Meanwhile, the company’s Executive Director, Nelson Ine, captured the progresses made, the challenges surmounted and the way forward, in a well broken down presentation, that was in sync and collaborated the perspectives or views of the GMD.
Ine’s presentation and delivery emphasized on the need to make NPFL clubs business centers and not social or recreational centers as football is big business.
“We’ve achieved stability in the league, the competitive balance has improved largely and we’re aiming to make it the best league in Africa,” Ine enthused..
“The transition to private ownership and management is key for the league’s growth, and we’re working towards aligning our league with international best practices.”

Speaking further, Ine said the collaboration, which commenced three years ago, has brought stability to the league, improved its competitive balance, and enhanced the overall football experience in Nigeria, which GTI wants to make the NPFL more attractive to investors, sponsors, and fans.

To this end, by adopting international best practices, Ine said the league aims to increase its revenue streams, improve its infrastructure, and enhance the overall quality of the game.
“The project’s success is not solely dependent on GTI, but rather a collective effort from all stakeholders,” Ine stated.
“We’re working together to drive growth and development in Nigerian football, and we’re confident that our partnership will yield positive results”, he concluded.
