The Oduduwa Support Organisation has announced plans to officially inaugurate its activities alongside a press briefing on April 22, with the event tentatively slated for Liberty Stadium in Ibadan, Oyo State.

This occasion represents an important step in the Organisation’s expansion and strategic alignment. The launch is intended to position Oyo State as the central hub of its operations, reflecting a strengthened dedication to the advancement of Yoruba interests, political engagement, and unity throughout the Southwest.

As a coalition of grassroots mobilizers within the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Organisation has reiterated its support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

According to its National Leader, Chief Vincent Bakare, Ibadan was intentionally selected as the venue due to its deep historical and political relevance as the heart of Yorubaland.

Providing insight into the Organisation’s strategic plans, Director General and CEO Otunba Olusola Orelaja highlighted a robust voter mobilization framework. This includes systematic door-to-door campaigns, organized grassroots outreach, and focused digital engagement efforts. He also revealed that the Organisation currently consists of more than 300 affiliated support groups spread across different states, all aligned with advancing APC’s agenda.

The inauguration is expected to draw a wide range of stakeholders, including party executives, public office holders, traditional leaders, and other influential personalities from across the region. It is part of a broader initiative aimed at fostering unity, driving economic growth, and ensuring sustainable development across Yorubaland.

At its core, the Organisation is committed to restoring Yoruba pride, promoting economic empowerment, and encouraging social development. To achieve this, it has mapped out several key initiatives such as scholarship schemes, community food programs, agricultural support, healthcare outreach, public enlightenment campaigns, advocacy for justice, and infrastructure development.

Among its primary goals are boosting economic opportunities through inclusive and sustainable growth, improving access to quality education via scholarships and institutional backing, preserving Yoruba culture and traditions, and strengthening unity and cooperation among Yoruba people.

The Oduduwa Support Organisation is headed by Chief Vincent Bakare as National Leader, with Otunba Olusola Orelaja serving as Director General.
