“The competition fosters harmonious relationships among players, team officials, and spectators.”

Considering the popularity of the competition within the Ibadan industrial hub, it has attracted substantial support for players from the company’s management in terms of both financial and material rewards for players,” Adewale noted.

He added that some companies even used to go as far as purchasing adequate equipment that could aid their performance for their players.
Rom Oil won the maiden edition of the tournament in 2020 while the team for Young Shall Grow company emerged the champion of the 2021 edition.

In 2022, Quantum became the winner, while the Polaris Bank football team was crowned as the 2023 winner and Sudit Oil is the defending champion having won last year’s edition.
