The new President of the Handball Federation of Nigeria, Jibril Saidu Ojih, will kick start his reign by attending the 3rd edition of the South East U-15 Handball competition this week.

Disclosing this to Sportsday, the South East Representative on the Board of the Handball Federation of Nigeria, Emmanuel Asogwa, says it is a blessing to the zone to host a brand new President of the federation in his first major outing after being elected.

“It’s a blessing to the South East to be the first zone to host our new president, Jibril Ojih”.

“I’m elated because it will open doors to many developmental strides the zone is set to witness”.

“As the South East representative on the HFN Board, I want to ensure that the zone returns to the position it’s known for, through a lot of reforms that we are ready to pursue”.

“God on our side, we shall get it done”, said Asogwa.

The South East U-15 Handball competition is scheduled to hold from October 28 – 31, 2025, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu
