    Hajji Gafar Liameed, LSFA Chairman, Felicitates With NFF President Gusau on Historic Players Hostel & Training Pitches

    The Chairman of Lagos State Football Association Hajji Gafar Olawale Liameed, has joined millions of delighted Nigerian football stakeholders, investors and fans in congratulating the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, and other members his board on the Tuesday historic groundbreaking ceremony for the Players’ Hostel and new training pitches, in Abuja.

    The project which is named NFF-FIFA Players’ Hostel, is a 68-room facility located at the heart of Package B of the MKO Abiola National Stadium. It is a two-wing building with A and B sections, and has a total of 62 single rooms, four suites and two executive suites.

    The project also has the construction of two new training pitches, a synthetic and natural grass, as well as reconstruction of the existing synthetic pitch. It would also have sitting terraces for spectators, two dressing rooms for players.

    Speaking on the milestone project, Hajji Gafar Liameed enthused that the project would go ahead to have lasting and positive impacts on Nigerian football.

    “Let me firstly, congratulate all Nigeria football stakeholders, investors and fans on this epochal groundbreaking for the NFF-FIFA Players’ Hostel and new training pitches.

    “It’s been long in coming, and on behalf of all the executive board members of the Lagos State Football Association, we congratulate the hardworking NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, and also say thank you to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, for making this happen for our football,” he remarked.

    He went ahead to admonish football investors and stakeholders to look inwards and see the positives inherent in Nigeria football and the unlimited opportunities its ever-growing market potentials.

    The multiple awards winning football administrator reaffirms the unflinching commitment of the LSFA board members to developing and growing football in the state for the benefits of millions of the talented but hapless male and female youths.
