    Grassrunners Youngster, Labode Gets Hannover Chance

    Grassrunners FC of Ikenne, Remo promising youngster, Rasaq Labode has been handed a huge chance for a career break-through by German side, Hannover 96.

    The talented defensive midfielder, we gathered is currently undergoing trials with the Bundesliga 2 outfit for a possible signing.

    Labode is the second Grassrunners player in the news recently after another of their protégé, Angelo Agbejoye is being considered by English Premier League champions, Manchester City.

    The club’s Chief Executive Officer, Gbenga Agbejoye broke the news to us exclusively on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

    “Our player, Rasaq Labode is presently trying out with German side, Hannover 96.

    “We are hopeful that himself and Angelo who is undergoing trials with Man City will make us proud.

    “We have confidence in these players’ abilities and are therefore very optimistic about their success”, he noted.
