Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has made a strategic appointment that could revolutionize the state’s electricity sector. Dr. Sam Amadi, a renowned economist and former Chairman of the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has been appointed as the Chairman of the Abia Electricity Advisory Council. This move underscores Governor Otti’s commitment to leveraging expertise to drive development in Abia State.
Dr. Sam Amadi is a policy strategist, law and governance expert with impressive credentials. He served as the pioneer Chairman and CEO of NERC from 2010 to 2015 and is currently the Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts. His academic prowess is further highlighted by his role as a Visiting Professor at the Emerald Energy Institute, University of Port Harcourt.
