    Glorious Promotions Brings Boxing to Molete, Ibadan, in Quest to Fight Substance Abuse

    Glorious Sports Promotions, in collaboration with the Ganiyu Oladayo Boxing Foundation, has brought boxing to Molete, one of the most infamous streets in Ibadan, as part of their ‘Say No to Drugs’ campaign.

    The event, which took place under the Molete Bridge on Friday, 11 September, saw the area filled with spectators and boxing enthusiasts that came out in large numbers to watch the exciting boxing bouts.

    The concept behind the boxing event, as explained by Ganiyu Oladayo, the CEO of Glorious Sports Promotions, is to leverage the popularity of boxing among street youth to advocate against the illegal use of hard drugs.

    Oladayo emphasized that the initiative aims not only to entertain but also to educate the community about the dangers of substance abuse. By engaging young people through the sport of boxing, the campaign hopes to foster a healthier lifestyle and inspire positive choices among attendees.

    Apart from young boxers that confronted themselves in a four-rounds boxing bouts, some hip-pop artists such as Vtino Currency, Voldom, SBmninety and Zion Kids dance group also entertain the audience.

    “We want to use the game of boxing that we believe is loved by most of our youths as a tool to drive a campaign against the use of hard drugs among our youths. And we would like to thank some individuals and bodies that partnered with us on the program.
