It has been remarkably intriguing since the commencement of the Africa World Cup qualification. All teams in the world including Africa have drastically changed and improved deeply.
Accra, Ghana – In the latest round of Africa’s World Cup qualifiers, Ghana and Ivory Coast emerged victorious, strengthening their bids for a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana’s Black Stars, led by newly-appointed captain Jordan Ayew, secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Madagascar in Group I. Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey scored two headers, while Mohammed Kudus added a third goal. This victory extends Ghana’s lead in Group I, with five points separating them from second-placed Madagascar.

Meanwhile, Ivory Coast’s Elephants continued their unbeaten start in Group F, defeating The Gambia 1-0 in Abidjan. Sebastien Haller’s first-half header proved decisive, as Ivory Coast moved to the top of their group, a point ahead of Gabon.

Tunisia also secured a crucial victory, defeating Malawi 2-0 in Group H. Seifeddine Jaziri and Elias Achouri scored late goals to seal the win for the Carthage Eagles.

These results set the stage for an intense competition as African teams vie for a spot in the expanded 48-team World Cup finals. Only the nine group winners are assured of a place, while the four best second-placed teams will play off for a chance to qualify.
