Esports EXPO 2024 Holds in Benin Today As ESEA Highlights Benefits of Games
In a bid to further popularize ESPORTS in Edo State, and to encourage youths to embrace games in Edo State,the Edo Esports Association (ESEA) is organizing the first Esports EXPO in Benin City.
The event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, October 19,2024 at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub on Airport Road, beginning at 10:00 AM.
According to the Director of Publicity,ESEA, Oviasuyi Cosmos, the EXPO 2024 is aimed at educating the youth in Edo state and participants on the need for them to embrace and take advantage of the inherent benefits of esports,both for the gamers and investors, as well as to let the public know the distinctions between esports and traditional gaming.
Oviasuyu said that participants will learn about various career opportunities in the esports industry, which extend beyond players , coaches, management teams and trainers,emphasizing the importance of the expo to include promoting esports awareness in Edo State.
The Edo Esports EXPO 2024 which is being powered by numerous sponsors, including Glo Nigeria, the Edo State Sports Commission, Edo Creative Hub, Gym, Starllion, Mat Ice, Nestle Pure Life, G Armani Concept, Chiz Lounge, and Bites, will be featuring Esports Breakdown;Game Development Panel;Esports Speed Run Competition;FC 24 Tournament and more to spice up the ceremony.
The Executive Chairman, Edo State Sports Commission Olympian Yussuf Alli, Dr Emmanuel Igbinosa, Permanent Secretary, Edo State Sports Commission and the Honourable Commissioner For Digital Economy, Science and Technology,Ogbeide Ifaluyi Isibor are among the Special Guests being expected to grace the occasion tomorrow. #
