The Deputy President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju has sent message of peace and unity to all Nigerians during this festive period of Eid-Mubarak.
The Oyo Prince, and erstwhile President -General of the Maritme Workers’ Union of Nigeria was very positive in his message to every Nigerian to always develop a positive mindset towards Nigeria and her leadership, saying that Nigeria as a country has almost gone past her turbulent period, given the menace of insecurity and poverty in the; hence, Nigerians must be hopeful and be ready to reap the juicy portion of their sacrifice to the country.
He used the Sallah occasion to justify his stance that the Almighty Allah is all Merciful and just in dealing with his people, hence, as a nation, Nigerians must not lose hope for the Almighty God is a justifiable King, who reigns from his heavenly throne. He added that as a nation that our ways and thoughts are not the ways of Allah; hence, he’s the all knowing God.
The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) President acknowledged the fact that Nigerians are passing through a difficult stage of transformation, which will eventually benefit all and sundry in no distant time.
Comrade Adeyanju is also calling on the Federal Government of Nigeria to quickly resolve the issues of insecurity and the senseless killings across the country as no nation thrives where insecurity and fear of the unknown reign supreme amongst the people.
He, however, commended the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Hon. Oyetola, given his positive and yielding giant strides in the sector.
The Maritme Labour Supremo also gave kudos to the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), the Managing Director of Nigerian Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), the Director -General of Shippers Council (NSC), the leadership of STOAN, and other stakeholders and captains of industries in the sector, praying that the Almighty Allah will use this festive period to recompess them in their individual endeavors in the sector and to the service of the nation.
He prayed that the Almighty Allah gives the country’s leadership the necessary wisdom to steer the ship of this country to its expected destination of glory, affirming that majority of Nigerians now live between hand and mouth, and there’s urgent need for the government to attend to the yearnings of the people who are desperately in need of their everyday survival.
Comrade Adeyanju used the Eid-Mubarak festivity to thank all Nigerians in their resilience, doggedness and tolerance in coping with the hard situation in the country, reminding Nigerians that no situation lasts forever and that no sooner than later, the light will beam out of the tunnel; there on, Nigerians will have cause to glorify the Almighty God for his mercy and kindness, who is just always.
