The 3-day wheelchair Basketball Empowerment Camp ends in Lagos.
Holding from 28-30 May 2026, at the open basketball courts infront of the National I statute for Sports,, National Stadium Surulerre Lagos under the auspices of United State of America (USA) based Nigerian, DOTUN Bakre, the camp ends on Saturday 30 May 2026.
Event co-ordinator, DOTUN BAKRE said the camp is open to all special wheelchair basketball athletes from across the country irrespective of the states where they came from.
Adding that the main objective of the camp is to build Skills, Confidence, Capacity and building Champions.
The USA based Wheelchair Basketball technocrat also informed that at the end of the 3-day Camp exercise, Skill development,, Teamwork and leadership, Game 10 Strategy and Confidence growth which was the main target of America the exercise, would have been achieved..
DOTUN BAKRE stated that he wants a robust wheelchair games development in Nigeria in Nigeria which informed his co- bringing wheelchair Softball experts including the world wheelchair Softball President, John Teegard to Nigeria.
DOTUN BAKRE, whose love for wheelchair sports is second to none is seriously planning to establish his own Wheelchair Basketball club in Nigeria soon.
The formation of the club will give Nigerian wheelchair basketball players the needed opportunity of travelling outside the shores of this country to ply their trade.
