The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the appointment of Rear Admiral Ikechukwu Ogalla as Chief Naval Staff.
Kalu, in a statement made available to newsmen by his media aide on Tuesday, noted that the appointment is a diversity-sensitive one made by the President, who is determined to lead an inclusive government and promote national cohesion in the country.
The Deputy Speaker, therefore, commended President Tinubu for his proactiveness in appointing capable hands to man key areas of his administration.
Kalu, while congratulating Ogalla for being found worthy for the position, expressed confidence in the latter’s competence and capacity to deliver.
The Deputy Speaker, who is from the South-East, further urged the South-Easterners to support the current administration as their interests are well secured by the President Tinubu administation.
