Declare for APC now, former DTHA member urges Delta Leaders

Hon Dr Liege Lord Keston Okoro Muhhamed Al-Amin, National President of the APC National Ambassadors and Former member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Udu Constituency, has urged Delta state leaders particularly those of the PDP extraction who are benefiting from the APC-led federal government to declare their stand for the party now and stop subterraneous fight against Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, warning that those benefiting from the President Tinubu’s administration in one way or the other yet do not have total commitment towards the party shall be exposed however the outcome of the Supreme Court judgment.

Hon Keston Okoro Al-Amin spoke in the wake of alleged sinister posture of some Delta leaders who have benefitted from the Tinubu’s administration yet are not overtly committed to the struggle to dislodge the PDP through the courts  as being championed by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.

He expressed dismay with the fact that while core APC members, who are overtly in the war front have not benefitted from the present administration, many PDP leaders who stood on the fence in the 2023 general elections have landed juicy appointments or are all over Abuja lobbying for appointments yet are not keenly interested in the final push to oust PDP from Delta State.

The APC chieftain disclosed that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege fought against political monsters from within and without to deliver two Senators for the party, a feat that has never been heard of in the history of Delta state, stressing that Ovie Omo-Agege’s mobilization for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2023 general election was unprecedented.

‘’In the days of Great Ogboru, the highest he could go was one senator in Senator Pius Ewherido. In 2023, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege fought against enemies within the APC, the forces of the Peter Obi revolution and the PDP hawks and pretenders to deliver two senators for the party. No man had ever achieved such a feat before now. Ovie Omo-Agege deserved nothing but victory in the 2023 general polls and his declaration by the Supreme Court will be the best thing ever to happen to Delta State since 1999.

‘’What is annoying about the whole saga is the sinister and undercurrent moves by some elements who have benefitted massively from the party to halt the liberation of the state. A man who mobilized massively for the party particularly when President Tinubu visited ahead of the polls, a man who delivered all the APC candidates in his local government area, almost all candidates in his federal constituency and senatorial district cannot be proven not to have worked for his party in 2023. Anybody who may be pushing for anything less than total victory and liberation of the state through the Supreme Court is an enemy of the state and his political interest attacked in future outings if care is not taken.

‘’Many of us declared our stand before the elections and burnt the bridge behind us. We are determined to fight this noble course to the end. But many of those benefitting or who hope to benefit could not deliver their units for President Tinubu. Yet Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is magnanimous enough to allow them gain access to government positions. These should declare their stand now and not tomorrow after Omo-Agege has won when they will come out to issue statements on how they fought for APC while in PDP.

‘’We shall not tolerate the chameleon-like behavior of these so-called political leaders. If you are for Tinubu, then declare your stand and work openly for the APC at all levels. Those in the Chief David Edevbie political movement, Delta Interest Group, should openly declare for the party now. We have our ears to the ground. Anybody working against Senator Ovie Omo-Agege ahead of the Supreme Court ruling should be prepared to face humiliation tomorrow. Enough of the backstabbing! Omo-Agege breathe life into APC in Delta State. Without him, whatever the party gained in 2023 would have been impossible. Let us all rally round him for this final push to liberate Delta State’’, Keston Okoro added.
