Afrobeats star, David Adeleke professionally known as Davido, has revealed plans to release his fifth studio album early next year.
During an interview on The Baller Alert Show, the superstar singer stated that the much-anticipated album will drop “early 2025.”
However, he did not reveal further details about the project, such as the date to be released, featured artists, and the album’s title.
The artist, who recently turned 32, also shared exciting news about an upcoming collaborative project with Chike and Odumodublvck, to be released in a few days.
Speaking about the collaboration, Davido referred to Odumodublvck as the “biggest Nigerian rapper”, also comparing Chike to American singer Bryson Tiller.
“We have another coming in couple of days, it is called ‘Funds’. I featured the current biggest Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck, and the Nigerian Bryson Tiller, girls love him is name is Chike,” he said.
On his yet-to-be-released album, Davido talked on its unique African heritage: “My album will be coming out early next year. It will be a real African records.”
He also expressed his commitment to remaining in Nigeria, despite opportunities to relocate abroad.
Davido rose to fame in 2012 with Dami Duro, a hit single from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo. He released his first album, Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and Timeless (2023).
