CSW: Polaris Bank meets Southwest customers in Ibadan, Reiterates commitment to outstanding customer service

As it celebrates 2025 Customer Service Week with the theme “Mission: Possible,” Polaris Bank has met with its customers in the southwest geopolitical zone of the country in Ibadan on Thursday, 9th October, where the bank reaffirmed its unshakable commitment to deepening the delivery of great customer experiences with institutions worldwide.

While welcoming the guests and officially opening the event, Chris Ofikulu, Executive Director of Retail, Commercial, and Public Sector at Polaris Bank, referred to their customers as kings. He emphasized their commitment to valuing, respecting, and satisfying customers in ways that bring them happiness.

“A satisfied customer will actually be your ambassador, so how do we make them your ambassador; we make them happy with the bank. This approach not only fosters loyalty but also encourages word-of-mouth referrals, which are invaluable for any business. By prioritizing customer happiness, Polaris Bank aims to create lasting relationships that benefit both the institution and its clients.” Ofikulu noted

He explained that “in order to honor the value of providing exceptional customer service and the individuals who enable it, Customer Service Week is observed worldwide during the first full week of October.  For Polaris Bank, it’s another chance to honor its employees and clients while reaffirming that providing excellent customer service is always possible with commitment and cooperation.”

“I am in charge of the business of retail, commercial, and public sectors, and with over 200 branches across the state of the federation, if I want to meet them one after the other, it might take a whole year, so the best way to engage the customer is to organise an event like this to talk to our customers in a block and enrich their knowledge of different packages the bank offers and empower them by sharing knowledge.”

Mr. Ofikulu added that “We have held one in Lagos, and today’s is for the southwest; we are going to have Abuja, Rivers State, and the North. And this is one of the plans; we focus on the trade because trade is the bedrock of the nation. We are still going to look into other sectors of the economy soon.”

Some of the bank’s section heads gave presentations on the various business packages the bank provides, and the forum gave customers a chance to talk to banking executives directly and see what kinds of issues they are having with the bank. The executives promptly resolved the issues, and the bank promised to use the data to create an enterprise solution for its customers.
