    Championship Turned to Tragedy: Fatalities in France After PSG’s UCL Win

    Tragedy hits as two died, 192 injure and 426 arrests were made in France chaos after PSG UCL breakthrough.

    Celebration of PSG UCL win will be remembered with a clause of the recorded deaths.

    Chaotic scenes overwhelm Paris and as two persons passed away in the course of the celebration of Paris Saint-Germain claimed victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League final on Saturday night.

    The incidence occured in the beauty of the celebrations and clashing with the police – A 17-year-old boy was stabbed on his chest, on the other hand a 20-year-old woman was hit by a vehicle carrying supporters, as reported in France.

    In finding ways to curb the massive celebration that turned sour. A total of 426 people were arrested, including 417 in Paris with 216 people being held in police custody, 207 in Paris, as at Sunday morning. Tensions arose following Saturday night’s game with 13 police officers and 192 others injured.

    Achraf Hakimi’s early goal and two other from Desire Doue, brought down Inter-Milan.

    law enforcement used  water cannon at the Champs-Élysées. Police claimed it was to “protect the Place de l’Étoile, as the barrier set up had been broken through by a large crowd of people not watching the match, pushing to come into contact with the police”.

    The night in France turned sour with Police forcefully resisting citizens. And the night that marked their victory rolled on with teargas being shot and batons brandished, to avoid  menace.

    Firefighters established some sense of security with 148 shots  fired under control as 46 vehicles were set ablaze.  Missiles were thrown at police. It was then turning from celebration to destruction.

    Nonetheless, the presence of the police and firefighters brought inrespite in managing the chaos so far.
