    CGF Governance and Integrity Committee Announces Appointment of Chief Solomon Ogba As Member

    CGF Governance and Integrity Committee has announced the appointment of Chief Solomon Ogba As Member

    In a press statement by Jacek Bedkowski,
    IAU Director of Communication , Ogba’s journey in sports administration, career credentials earned him IAU Area Representative for Africa, and the new appointment as member of the commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) Governance and Integrity Committee.

    Bedkowski states –
    ‘In a significant development for both the sports and governance communities, Chief Solomon Omamoezi Ogba, who is the IAU Area Representative for Africa and he has been appointed as a member of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) Governance and Integrity Committee’. This appointment, set to last until May 2028, marks a pivotal moment in Chief Ogba’s illustrious career, underscoring his vast experience and the high regard in which he is held within the sports administration circles.

    Chief Ogba’s journey in sports administration has been marked by dedication and a keen sense of integrity, qualities that have propelled him to the forefront of sports governance on the African continent. His role as the Area representative for Africa on the IAU Executive Council since 2016 has been instrumental in promoting ultrarunning and brought the first IAU African 50K Championships to Nigeria in 2019.

    The CGF Governance and Integrity Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of governance and ethical conduct within the Commonwealth Sports Movement. Chief Solomon inclusion in this committee is a testament to his expertise and commitment to fostering integrity within sports.

    Dr. Donald Rukare, CGF Vice President and Chair of the Governance and Integrity Committee, expressed his enthusiasm for working with Chief Solomon Ogba over the next four years.
