    CG Adewale Adeniyi Emerges President Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Pledges to Boost Sport

    The Nigeria Wrestling Federation has a new president, Dr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, who is also the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS). He was unanimously elected as the president, securing all 14 votes from the Executive Board Members during the elective congress held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

    Dr. Adeniyi’s election is a significant milestone for Nigerian wrestling, and he has pledged to dedicate his energy and expertise to building a stronger and more robust federation. He commended President Bola Tinubu for revitalizing sports in Nigeria through strategic appointments at the National Sports Commission.

     

    The new president also expressed gratitude to wrestling stakeholders for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the sport. He emphasized his commitment to expanding wrestling’s reach through enhanced sponsorships and inclusive administration.
