    Budapest 2023 Qualifier: Ogunlewe Drafted To Replace Itsekiri

    As Nigeria’s 4×100m men’s relay team continue their ticket chase for the 2023 World Athletics Championship in Budapest, the team has undergone some changes.

    After failing to meet up with the required standard set by the World Athletics, they continue the chase in Nigeria Meets at the Yaba College of Technology last week and failed to meet the requirements.

    According to the update coming from the team’s camp, Seye Ogunlewe has been drafted in to replace Nigeria’s number Usheoritse Itsekiri.

    Itsekiri was confirmed to have dropped out of the team and returned to his base.

    The quartet of Seye, Alaba, Godson and Ashe will now represent Nigeria in the Benin Republic Meets.
