‎The management of Broadoaks British School, Abuja, has announced the launch of its 2026 Scholarship Programme, aimed at recognising and nurturing outstanding talent across academics, sports, music, and the creative arts.
    ‎
‎Addressing journalists in Abuja, the Head of School, Dr. Jill Cowie, said the initiative reflects the institution’s philosophy of raising well-rounded individuals.
    ‎
‎“At Broadoaks, we believe education must go beyond examination results. While academic standards are extremely important, we are equally committed to developing students who show resilience, leadership, kindness, and purpose,” she said.
    ‎
‎”This scholarship programme allows us to invest in exceptional young people and recognise excellence in all its forms, both Academic Scholarships and Specialist Scholarships, with the latter covering areas such as athletics, swimming, football, music performance, and visual arts.” Dr. Cowie added.
    ‎
‎The programme is also designed to expand access to quality education for students from diverse backgrounds.
    ‎
‎This initiative is part of the school’s broader commitment to delivering an inclusive and holistic British education that goes beyond academic achievement to build character, confidence, and compassion in students.
    ‎
‎The School explained that candidates for academic scholarships will undergo internationally recognised assessments, alongside a review of their academic records and interviews.
    ‎
‎Meanwhile, students applying for specialist scholarships will be assessed based on their practical skills and creative abilities.
    ‎
‎In addition, the programme includes means-tested awards to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent talented students from benefiting from the opportunity, and scholars will be expected to actively contribute to the institution’s community as ambassadors and role models.
    ‎
‎Applications for the 2026 Scholarship Programme are now open, with the Scholarship Assessment Day scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 16, at the school’s campus in Maitama, Abuja.
