The victorious Super Falcons of Nigeria and 10th-time Women African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) winners will be arriving in Abuja from Morocco today (Monday).

Reports say officials of the National Sports Commission (NSC) and other government officials will be on the team’s entourage back home by 12pm local time.

Meanwhile, football fans and Nigerians from all walks of life will line up the streets of Abuja to welcome the Falcons, as the players will be on a trophy tour parade around the Federal capital city.

Thereafter, the team will proceed to the Presidential Villa to visit President Bola Tinubu, and present the prestigious trophy to him.

In addition, there will be a live concert at the Eagles Square, Abuja, later in the evening from 7pm, where top musicians are expected to perform as part of a welcome party for the new African champions.

The Super Falcons shocked the footballing world on Saturday, when they made a dramatic comeback from a two-goal first half deficit to beat host country, Morocco, 3-2 in the final of the WAFCON tournament decided in Rabat.
