BPAN Boss Laud President Tinubu On
Dikko’s Appointment As NSC Chair
President of the Boxing Promoters Association of Nigeria (BPAN) Omonlei Yakubu Imadu has praised the appointment of Mallam Shehu Dikko as the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC). Imadu said Dikko’s wealth of experience in sports management will surely transform Nigerian sports ecosystem in no time.

a seasoned sports administrator
to run the affairs of sport in Nigeria, Dikko is truly fitted for the job and I have no doubt that our sports will make giant strides under his leadership”.
The CEO of Yucateco Boxing Promotions and initiator of the first and only boxing league in Nigeria, stated that Dikko will hit the ground running without delay based on his versed understanding of the sports industry in Nigeria.
” i have followed Dikko’s exploits even before his days as Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC), the Nigerian Premier Football League attracted major sponsorship deals in his time and the league became widly followed by Nigerians”
Imadu also stated that the Boxing Promoters Association of Nigeria which he superintends over will collaborate with the National Sports Commission under the leadership of Mallam Shehu Dikko in developing boxing in the country.
In a major overhaul of the country’s sports administration, President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday dissolved the Ministry of Sports Development and reinstated the National Sports Commission (NSC). The President also swiftly appointed Mallam Shehu Dikko, a seasoned sports administrator, as Chairperson of the Commission.
