The Badagry Divisional Football Association (BDFA) has singled out four eminent personalities for special recognition and honour following their outstanding contributions to the advancement of the round leather game in the division.

Top on the list is the current Lagos state Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlede who incidentally is the founder of RAK foundation (real act of kindness) a non governmental organisation (NGO) that promotes youth and their careers, which through his project, the BDFA RAK League since 2019 has positively impacted football growth in Badagry.

The league produced the likes of Paul Ebere Onuachu, Raphael Onyedika, Solomon Agbalaka, Ibrahim Olawoyin, David Durosinmi, Emeka Eze to mention a few and have also helped teams like Roro FC and Youngstars FC gain promotion to Nationwide League Division One and Division Two respectively.

Others to be decorated alongside Ogunlede include Chief Chekwube Uzoegbo, the CEO of Chekas Group of companies and the proprietor of Chekas United FC of Lagos.

The business magnet will receive a Lifetime Award as one of their ambassadors given his track record of single handedly sponsoring the Chekas Kids Cup for U10, U13 and U15 under the Badagry FA.

The same goes for Abraham Santhosh the Managing Director of Alzico Group Atlas, who will also be decorated with a Lifetime Achievers Award as one of their ambassadors for his immense contributions to football development in Badagry division through his sponsorship of the Atlas Cup since 2010.

The last but not by any means the least on the list of recipients will be Sesi Toku, a philantrophist and pioneer of ECAS Football Club.

The award decoration will be held at the finals of the BDFA RAK League which comes up on Sunday, June 15 at the Badagry Grammar School sports pitch.
