    Bayelsa Pulls into First Place in NDSF Medal Ranking

    The Niger Delta Sports Festival in Uyo has reached a thrilling stage, with Bayelsa State taking a slim but significant lead over Delta State in the intense medal battle. As the multi-sport event nears its final day, Bayelsa sits atop the medal table with an impressive haul of 36 gold, 20 silver, and 12 bronze medals, totaling 68 overall.

    Delta State is hot on Bayelsa’s heels, with athletes amassing 35 gold, 20 silver, and 23 bronze medals, totaling 78 medals. Team Bayelsa is determined to finish strong and maintain at lead position.

    Rivers State trails behind the two front-runners, with 17 gold medals, while Edo State ranks fourth overall with 69 total medals. Edo State athletes have shown consistency across events, earning 12 gold medals alongside a high number of silver (28) and bronze (29) medals. The competition is heating up, and the final day of the festival promises to be an exciting conclusion to the NDSF.
