Barcelona delivered a commanding attacking display in Seville, overcoming an early scare to defeat Real Betis 5–3 in a thrilling end-to-end contest. with Antony striking after just six minutes to give Betis the lead.

The Brazilian winger spun sharply inside the box and fired low past the keeper, sending the home fans into an early celebration. But the advantage was short-lived, as Barcelona responded with composure and precision, settling into possession and gradually forcing Betis deeper into their own half.

The comeback began in the 12th minute when Ferran Torres arrived perfectly to guide Jules Koundé’s driven cross into the net. Barely two minutes later, Torres struck again—this time with a superb volley that left the goalkeeper rooted and completed a rapid turnaround. The momentum tilted fully in Barça’s favour, and Betis began to show signs of panic, committing fouls as they struggled to regain control.

Lamine Yamal was brought down by Sergi Altimira, who received a deserved yellow, and moments later, Roony Bardghji attempted an audacious bicycle kick, which was scrambled behind for a corner. Barcelona, however, were relentless. Pedri picked out Bardghji with a clever pass in the 32nd minute, and the young winger calmly increased the lead. Torres completed a scintillating first-half hat-trick shortly before the break, firing Barcelona into a commanding 4–1 advantage.

Betis attempted to regroup after halftime, pushing forward with urgency as they sought a route back into the game. Cucho Hernández headed narrowly wide just after the restart, offering a glimpse of defiance from the hosts. The match remained physical, with Gerard Martín receiving a booking for a late challenge on Antony, while Koundé took a painful blow to the back of the head in an aerial duel. Still, Barcelona maintained control, and when Marc Bartra conceded a handball in the box, Yamal calmly dispatched the resulting penalty to stretch the score to 5–1. Roony Bardghji later missed a golden chance to make it six for his side after being sent clean through, his effort slipping wide in a moment that summed up Betis’ defensive frustration.

The final minutes brought drama as Betis pushed forward with a freedom born from desperation. Their pressure eventually yielded rewards: an 84th-minute goal reduced the deficit, injecting a jolt of energy back into the Benito Villamarín Stadium. Deep into stoppage time, Cucho Hernández won and converted a penalty to make it 5–3, giving the scoreline a more respectable look. But Barcelona had long since done the damage.

With fluid attacking movement, clinical finishing, and a standout performance from Ferran Torres, the visitors produced a statement win—one that not only showcased their depth and creativity but also reaffirmed their growing confidence as the season unfolds.
