Ahead of Real Madrid’s presidential election, former winger Gareth Bale has publicly endorsed Florentino Pérez, adding his name to a growing list of club legends supporting the current president’s bid for another term.
With voting set to begin in just three days, club members will choose between incumbent president Florentino Pérez and challenger Enrique Riquelme to lead the Spanish giants for the next four years.
Bale, who joined Real Madrid in 2013 during Pérez’s tenure, shared a photo of himself alongside the club chief on social media, accompanied by the message: “The best.” The gesture is being viewed as a clear show of support for Pérez’s campaign.
The Welshman joins several former Madrid figures who have publicly backed the current president, including Karim Benzema, Casemiro, Lucas Vázquez, Nacho Fernández, Carlo Ancelotti and Luka Dončić.
As the election campaign reaches its decisive stage, Pérez continues to draw support from high-profile names associated with the club, strengthening his position ahead of a vote that will determine Real Madrid’s future leadership.
