Ubah, who was re-elected into the 10th Senate under the Young Peoples Party (YPP), had last year defected to the All Progressive Congress.

Ubah escaped assassination when he was attacked by gunmen on his way to Nnewi in Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra State in September 2022.

His convoy was shot at, and at least five persons, including two security officials, were killed.

Few years back, while still at the Senate, he studied Law at the Baze University, Abuja.

Born on September 3, 1971, he was from Otolo, Nnewi, Anambra State, he was happily married to Uchenna, with whom he had lovely children.

He was a well known philanthropist, he used his Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation to carry out a number of laudable projects and helped the underprivileged.
