Samuel Amusan has hit Pyramids FC where it hurts. The on loan youngster delivered a sucker punch on his former team from where he was loaned to El gouna when he captained his new team, El gouna FC to pull off a historic victory over pyramids FC in an Egyptian league cup game.
The win didn’t come cheap or easy in the game which was played on Saturday, as Amusan and his El gouna side laboured hard with great determination and grit to curtail everything that Pyramids threw at them in the encounter, winning 2-0 to stun their more illustrious opponents.
Amusan’s top performance earned him plaudits from both his coaches, fans and club management as he was at the centre and orchestrated everything positive that El gouna did on the night in the heart of the midfield, winning most duels and 50/50 challenges in the fierce fixture.
Pyramids will certainly be kicking themselves they loaned him out
for a season to El gouna where he became their nemesis or worst nightmare.
This victory defines El gouna’s whole season and may just be the tonic they need to get their campaign on track.
