The World Archery Federation has appointed the President of the Nigeria Archery Federation, Mr. Mohammed Baba Abdullahi as member of the Five man Committee of the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Mohammed’s letter of appointment which was signed by the Secretary General of the World Archery Federation, Mr. Paul Calin and directed to the chairman of the Commonwealth Games Committee, Mr Robert Fiddyment reads:
“On behalf of World Archery, I am pleased to provide written confirmation on the appointments made by the world Archery Executive Board to serve on the Commonwealth Gam s Committee.
We look forward to these individuals contributing to the activities on your committee.

Secretary General.
However, the NAFED President, Mohammed Baba Abdullahi, was appointed alongside four others in the 5- member Commonwealth Committee.

Meanwhile, the Vice President of the Nigeria Archery Federation, Ambassador Augustine Chigbolu has applauded the wet prld Archery Federation laudable appointment of Mr Mohammed Abdullahi as member of the Commonwealth Games Committee describing as a well deserved move considering Abdullahi’s contributiond in archery development not only in Nigeria and Africa but globally.
Besides Nigeria, Ambassador Chigbolu revealed that Archery has been getting more attention continentally due to driving force of people like Abdullahi, he wants such momentum to continue.
