Alaka Estate allottees are calling on Governor Sanwo-Olu to intervene in the ongoing dispute with the Lagos Building Investment Company PLC (LBIC) over illegal construction on their allotted land. The allottees are specifically urging the Managing Director of LBIC, Olusola Faleye, to stop construction on Block 130 and 131, which they claim is being carried out without their knowledge or consent ¹.

According to the allottees, LBIC’s actions are a clear violation of their fundamental right to own property, as enshrined in Section 43 of the 1999 Constitution. They are demanding that LBIC return to the original agreement signed with the legal owners of the property and negotiate a new agreement that respects their rights.

The allottees are also seeking the intervention of other high-profile figures, including Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Inspector General of Police. They hope that with the help of these influential individuals, they can resolve the dispute and protect their rights as property owners.
