Can Akwa United and Doma FC return to the Nigeria Elite League following their relegation to the second-tier league last season? Both traditional teams are proving their mettle in the NNL, with Akwa United remaining top of Conference B table with a game in hand, while Doma United holds onto the top spot in Conference C despite losing 1-0 to Sokoto United.

The Nigeria National League (NNL) is sizzling hot as teams fight for promotion to the top-tier league. The battle for supremacy is getting fiercer by the day, and Matchday 11 in the Southern conference delivered a thrilling round of results, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

Conference A witnessed 2 away wins, 1 home win, and a draw, with the star match of the week seeing Inter-Lagos FC and Beyond Limit FC, ranked 1st and 2nd, respectively, play out a goalless stalemate in Abeokuta. The result allowed Inter-Lagos to maintain their top spot, but Beyond Limit FC remains hot on their heels, determined to snatch the top position.

Other notable results in Conference A include Smart City’s 1-0 win over Edel FC, Gateway’s 1-0 victory over Crown FC, and Sunshine’s 2-0 triumph over Abia Comets. The wins have injected fresh momentum into the teams’ title aspirations, and the conference is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in the league.

In Conference B, Osun United won 1-0 at Abakaliki FC, while Rovers defeated Stormers 1-0 in Calabar. The wins have given the teams a much-needed boost, and the conference is heating up as teams jostle for position.

Conference C saw Sokoto United beat Doma United 1-0, and FC Basira trounced Lobi Stars 2-0. Doma United still leads Conference C with 19 points, closely followed by FC Basira with 18 points. The conference is wide open, and the teams are giving it their all to secure a top-two finish.

In Conference D, Yobe Desert Stars defeated Ranchers Bees 1-0, temporarily topping the table with 15 points. Other results include Jigawa Golden Stars’ 1-0 win over Adamawa United and Gombe United’s goalless draw with Kebbi United.

With every point crucial, the NNL title race is getting intense. The teams are giving it their all, and the drama is unfolding with each passing match. Who will emerge victorious and secure promotion to the top-tier league? The suspense is killing fans, and the drama continues.
