The final of the AJ Invitational Tournament concluded on a high note in Gwagwalada, with AJ FC emerging champions after a convincing 2–0 victory over Phase 3 FC.

The two-day invitational tournament, sponsored by Jordan Kadiri of Belgian club F.C.V. Dender E.H, featured four teams: Abudabi FC, Nima FC, Phase 3 FC and hosts AJ FC. The competition was organised to provide a platform for young players to showcase and empower themselves through competitive football.

AJ FC and Phase 3 FC progressed to the final, where a tightly contested first half ended goalless. However, the hosts came alive in the second half, led by their talismanic attacker Jordan Attah.

The breakthrough came when Okiki Akinwande of MFK Karviná opened the scoring for AJ FC, sending the home fans into celebration. Minutes later, Jordan Attah capped an impressive performance by scoring the second goal to seal a 2–0 win for AJ FC. Both goals were recorded in the second half of the encounter.

The thrilling final was attended by members of the Gwagwalada Football Council Board, led by Chairman Ibrahim Bako and Vice Chairman Babatunde Akintade, alongside elders of the council and other key football stakeholders from the area.

Speaking after the tournament, organisers described the AJ Invitational as an annual event aimed at discovering talent, promoting grassroots football and giving players the opportunity to develop and attract wider attention.

With its successful conclusion, the AJ Invitational Tournament once again reaffirmed its growing importance in nurturing football talent within Gwagwalada and beyond.
