    Agenebode Agog for maiden High chief Raymond Dokpesi memorial Football tourney.

    All is now set for the maiden Edition of high chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi memorial Football tournament for youth teams in Edo state

    The memorial Football tournament to mark the one year remembrance of the Founder of Daar communication PLC owners of Ait and Ray power Radio will hold at Agenebode the administrative headquarters of Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo.

    According to the organisers, the Federation of Youth soccer clubs ( Feysoc) a registered youth affiliate of the Nigeria Football Association, now NFF, south south zone, the event will run from June 16th to 22nd 2024 with venue at the famous st Peters Grammar school, Agenebode Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo.

    The 18 Local Government Areas of Edo and privately owned Teams from across Edo state will be participating in the one week soccer tournament with under 18 male and female teams.

    The host and sponsor of the event Etsako East Local Government Area have put in place all necessary logistics for a successful event in honour of their illustrous son who contributed so much to the growth of the present Etsako East Local Government Area, Edo state and Nigeria.

    The Executive Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Area, Hon (Princess) Benedicta Attoh assured the organisers and the participating teams of a hitch free event.

    “This is the maiden edition of this tournament, and it is our dream to make it an annual event to immortalise the memory and legacies of our late national leader and father. There are other events been lined up to mark the first year remembrance of our late icon, high chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi this month of June outside the football tournament, though we have so much on our hands but we shall do our utmost best to have the football tournament hold and I am assuring the organisers and the participating teams a hitch free event, the hard working chairman posited .

    It would be recalled that high chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi who was a media veteran entrepreneur passed away on May 29th 2023 in Abuja at the age of 71 years and was buried June 22nd 2024.
