Super Eagles and Leicester City duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi have been advised to beware of offers that could put them in tight corner just because they may not want to play in the English Championship.
Recall that since Leicester City were relegated, some commentators have urged the duo to switch club where they could play top flight football but Coaches Godwin Izilien and Ike Shorunmu said Ndidi and Iheanacho should look before leaping.
Speaking to our correspondent, Izilien noted that what is paramount is their well-being, explaining that wherever they would go, they should be sure that they are secured financially.
“Football has no pension and it is a work that you do not do for a long time.
“What is most important to them should be where they will be, whether it is their present club or not, but their welfare will be better.
“I have no issue if they remain at Leicester as long as they are taking care of because one day it will be over for them and what they make as professionals is what will live with them,” he said.
Also speaking to our correspondent, Shorunmu advised them to be very careful, however admitting that they should follow their mind in their career decisions.
“They should be very careful but I think they should just follow their minds in order not to make mistakes,” he said.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Nottingham Forest are desperate to add Leicester City forward, Iheanacho, to their squad this summer.
The Reds have already established contact with Leicester City and hopeful of a concrete outcome.
Iheanacho is keen to leave the Foxes this summer following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
The Nigerian international linked up with the former Premier League champions from Manchester City in 2017.
The 26-year-old has scored 55 goals and registered 33 assists 206 appearances across all competitions for the Foxes.
Iheanacho will be the third Nigerian at Nottingham Forest should he complete the move with Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis already part of the squad.
His compatriot, Wilfred Ndidi is also expected to leave Leicester City this summer with Scottish Premiership giants Glasgow Celtic and Saudi club, Al Shabab interested in his services.
