Hon. Lawal Abiodun Saheed, a candidate aspiring for the Oyo State House of Assembly seat in the Egbeda Local Government constituency under the All Progressive Congress (APC), has sponsored a predict-and-win promo for all the matches of the Nigerian Super Eagles at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Morocco as a way of encouraging youths and football enthusiasts.

Hon. Abbey, as he’s fondly called by his admirers, is also paying for free viewing of Super Eagle’s games starting from the second round, as Nigeria is to play Mozambique on January 5 in the AFCON round of 16 at some selected viewing centers in the Egbeda local government area of Oyo State.

This initiative aims to foster a sense of community and support for the national team while promoting the football followership involving the national team and not only foreign football alone among younger generations. By making these matches accessible, Hon. Abbey hopes to inspire larger viewership and ignite passion for football in his constituency.

“As the Super Eagles continue their drive towards winning their fourth AFCON title for the nation, we want to motivate the football followers back home, especially within my constituency, to continue winning cash prizes from accurate predictions, as some people have won in the first round of AFCON, and also encourage more viewership by paying for people at the viewing centers,” he noted.

He emphasized the importance of community engagement in fostering a love for the national team, highlighting that these initiatives not only promote football but also strengthen local bonds. By investing in these viewing experiences, he aims to create an environment where fans feel connected to their team and each other, ultimately driving collective support for the Super Eagles.
