The winds of change are sweeping through, and a new chapter has opened in the illustrious legacy of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC). At the center of it all stands Nurudeen Aweroro, the newly appointed Head Coach of the Oluyole Warriors. His unveiling marks the beginning of what many are calling a bold new era for the club.

In a vibrant ceremony held at the heart of Ibadan’s football fortress, the Lekan Salami Stadium, Aweroro stood proudly in the club’s iconic blue, flanked by club officials and welcomed by a wave of optimism.

The announcement according to the new image maker of the traditional club Akindele Ibrahim has stirred excitement across the NPFL landscape, signaling fresh ambition for a side steeped in legacy.

“It wasn’t just a moment for the cameras, it was a statement of intent. That single act captured the spirit of what this appointment means to the club and the fans: a promise of focus, belief, and a new direction,” said the media officer.

Aweroro, a respected tactician with deep roots in the game, steps into a role loaded with expectation. His appointment has been met with widespread applause, seen by many as the perfect blend of technical acumen. Underpinning this new direction is the emergence of Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami as Executive Chairman of the club, a grounded technocrat bringing a proper football structure and business-minded leadership drive. With a rare blend of public and private sector experience, his tenure is already shaping up to redefine the operational and strategic outlook of 3SC.

Alongside Aweroro, strategic appointments are reshaping the club’s engine room. Bunmi Fadayomi takes the reins as Chief Operating Officer, bringing a wealth of experience and business savvy. Tasked with unlocking commercial opportunities, driving brand visibility, and overseeing operations from media execution to Brand communication, his arrival is seen as key to 3SC’s push for financial sustainability. Adepoju Tobi Samuel, now Sporting Director, is a young and agile administrator entrusted with managing player and coaching crew welfare, regulatory compliance, and performance oversight. His structured, modern approach promises to instill discipline and drive sporting excellence across board. In the media department, the appointment of Ibrahim Kindee Akindele as Media Lead is already turning heads. A dynamic voice in sports media, Kindee promises to inject fresh energy into content delivery, fan engagement, and overall media direction.

Shooting Stars, a club with a storied past and a burning ambition to return to the pinnacle of Nigerian football, now look to their new coach for direction. Supporters have already embraced the term “Aweroro Era,” a reflection of the hope his leadership inspires.

From the training pitch to the terraces, there’s a renewed energy coursing through the veins of the club. The message is clear — 3SC is ready to rise again.

The road ahead will demand grit, goals, and glory. But with the city of Ibadan behind him and a squad eager to make history, Aweroro’s mission is as clear as day: restore pride, deliver results, and bring the silverware home.

Whether this marks a true rebirth for the Oluyole Warriors remains to be seen. But one thing is certain; the stage is set, and the stars are ready to shine.
