Justin Madugu, the interim coach of Super Falcons, has said the former African champions are in Praia, the capital of Cape Verde, to once again defeat their host in Tuesday’s second leg of the final qualifiers for the 2024 Africa Women Cup of Nations taking place in Morocco.

Super Falcons landed in the Capital of Cape Verde, Praia, on Saturday for the second leg of the 2024 WAFCON Qualifiers against Cape Verde.

The serial African champions were received by the officials of the Cape Verde Football Federation at the Nelson Mandela International Airport at 6.pm local time.

The nine-time African Champions will battle the Tubarões Azuis of Cape Verde at the Estádio Nacional de Cabo Verde on Tuesday for the last part of the Morocco 2024 qualifiers.

“We are here to complete the job we started in Abuja,” the confident Madugu told the local media.

“We are not going to underrate them but one thing is certain, we want to beat them again because it will help our confidence going into the Cup of Nations proper.

“We are  ready for this match because we know every game comes differently and above all, it will be part of our preparations for the main championship,” he said.

Recall that Super Falcons defeated the Cape Verde senior women’s national team by five goals to nil on Thursday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, with a brace each from Uchenna Kanu and Esther Okoronkwo with Gift Monday completing the list of goal scorers.
