All is now set for the kick off of this year’s edition of Atlas Cup football competition as Lagos is agog for the tournament.
The competition, which will commence on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the rejuvenated Maracana Sport Complex, Tolu, Ajegunle, Apapa Lagos State, incidentally is the 10th edition of the highly cherished and respected tournament, which has helped shaped the football careers of many young players in that area of the state.
While speaking to the media,  Emeka Felix Onyebuchi, who chairs the LOC made up of other seasoned sports organizers, revealed that
“64 teams in the free age Male category and 12 teams in the female category and U-13 male category will take part in the Atlas Cup 2023.
He also stated that “all participating teams in the competition will be given free jerseys and an opportunity to be employed automatically to Azico Limited Atlas brand.
Managing Director of Azico Limited in Lagos, Abraham Santhosh, the brain box behind Atlas Cup success since inception, in an exclusive interview, collaborated Onyebichi’s statement.
According to him, “This being the 10th year of Atlas Cup we are planning it big. There will be free jerseys for all participating teams, awards to be won, huge price money and lots more, because we are working towards making this year’s edition like never before” he concluded.
