The Team Lead of Ufitfly, Ajibola Ogunkeyede, has called for urgent peace in the Middle East amid ongoing tensions, expressing hope that stability will soon return to the region.

Speaking during a recent engagement, Ogunkeyede emphasized the importance of peace not only for global security but also for religious activities, particularly pilgrimage journeys that have been disrupted by the crisis.

He reassured intending pilgrims who have planned visits to sacred sites in Israel and the Kingdom of Jordan that arrangements remain intact and will be activated once the situation improves.

“We are praying earnestly for peace in the Middle East,” Ogunkeyede said. “As soon as normalcy returns, all our registered pilgrims will be airlifted promptly to fulfill their spiritual obligations in Israel and Jordan.”

The Ufitfly boss acknowledged the concerns of travelers and their families, noting that safety remains the company’s top priority. He added that the organization continues to monitor developments closely while maintaining communication with relevant international partners and authorities.

Religious pilgrimages to Israel and Jordan hold deep spiritual significance for many Nigerians, particularly Christians seeking to visit biblical landmarks. However, recent instability in the region has forced travel operators to suspend or delay scheduled trips.

Ogunkeyede urged pilgrims to remain patient and hopeful, assuring them that Ufitfly is fully prepared to resume operations immediately peace is restored.

“We understand how important this journey is for many people. We are committed to ensuring that every pilgrim who has registered with us will have the opportunity to travel safely and comfortably once the environment is secure,” he added.

He also called on global leaders and stakeholders to intensify efforts toward achieving lasting peace in the region, stressing that stability would benefit not just pilgrims, but the wider international community.

As tensions persist, many travel and tour operators continue to adopt a wait-and-see approach, while pilgrims hold on to hope that they will soon embark on their long-anticipated spiritual journeys.
