    Aubamenyang Set To Join Marseille

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will join Olimpique Marseille on a three-year contract after Chelsea and Marseille reached an agreement.

The former Arsenal striker Aubameyang would put an end to his dissatisfying return to the Premier League as he edges closer to France.

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel brought Aubameyang to Chelsea last summer from Barcelona.

After the sacking of Tuchel and being replaced by Graham Potter, he was given less attention and was also left out of their Champions League roster for the final rounds.

Aubameyang is on the verge of finalising a move away from Chelsea and will return to France, Marseilleafter being left out of their preseason trip by new manager Pochettino.

Marseille are close to completing a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as he begins his medical in France.

According to Romano Fabrizio on Twitter, “Pierre Aubameyang has agreed to join Olympique Marseille, here we go.

“Auba will sign a three-year deal, as called two days ago — until June 2026. Chelsea will let him leave for free, told Auba will arrive tonight @ OM camp and then undergo medical tests on Thursday.”

The Gabonese had 31 appearances for Chelsea and scored just three goals, leading to his poor performance at the club.

The Blues forward is now prepared to leave Stamford Bridge on a free transfer after just one year with the club.

Aubamenyang has long been favorites of Marcelino who oversaw Valencia when the striker scored a Europa League semifinal goal against the La Liga team in 2019.

Marseille earned a spot in the Champions League qualifying round last season by finishing third in the French league.
