    Several teams are getting
tickets to play in the Round of
    16 in the ongoing 5th U-13 JOF
    Cup Championship.

    The age grade grassroots
    football tournament is being
played weekends at three centres within Lagos State to give
most of the players who are in
    the schools the opportunity to
    concentrate on their studies.
No fewer than 64 teams registered for the competition,
    which is being sponsored
    by JOF Nigeria Limited, a
    wholly Nigerian indigenous
    company.
At Lekki venue last weekend, Utility Football Club of
Ilupeju beat Danladi Academy from Yaba 2-1. Ojo’s Puma
FC lost 0-1 to Latoyam FC
    from Coker Aguda.
    Alaba Babes from Alaba
    could not withstand the fire
    –
    power of Junior Arsenal from
Alimosho as they fell in 0-2 in
    their game.
    Amezon Boys of Ikoyi beat
    Kola Babes from Ipaja 2-0.
    At Oshodi centre, Kamin
Boys of Oyingbo lost 1-3 to
    Zamadek Babes from Lagos
    Island.
Chelsea Boys Ketu defeated Ajiran Boys. Oron Academy of Oyingbo lost 2-1 to
    Omo Babes from Agbado,
    while Strong Dove from Orile
    Iganmu claimed victory over
    Edet Academy of Aguda 1-0
    game.
More matches in the second round stage will be played
this weekend for teams to get
their slots for the Round of 16
as teams race against time to
fight their ways to the final.
