Niger Delta Sports Festival: Enabulele Hosts NDDC Chairman Ebie, Reaffirms Edo’s Readiness for Second Edition
The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, hosted the Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Chiedu Ebie, alongside the project consultant for the festival, Dunamis Icon Limited, led by Sir Itiako Ikpokpo. The high-level visit aimed to assess preparedness, strengthen collaboration, and reaffirm stakeholders’ commitment to delivering a successful and impactful festival.
Enabulele described the visit as timely and strategic, noting that the Niger Delta Sports Festival remains crucial for grassroots sports development, youth empowerment, and regional integration. “The Niger Delta Sports Festival is more than a competition; it’s a deliberate investment in our youths’ future and the discovery of talents that can serve the region and nation for years to come,” Enabulele said.
He commended the NDDC under Mr. Chiedu Ebie’s leadership for sustaining the vision of using sports as a tool for unity, peace, and development in the Niger Delta. Enabulele praised Dunamis Icon Limited and Sir Itiako Ikpokpo for their professionalism, stating that the success of the first edition had laid a strong foundation for an even better second edition.
Reaffirming Edo State’s readiness to host the festival, Enabulele assured that all necessary facilities, logistics, and institutional support were being put in place to ensure a successful event. “Edo State is fully prepared to host the Niger Delta Sports Festival.”
