Israel on Saturday caused an upset at the ongoing 2023 U20 World Cup in Argentina as they bundled out Brazil from the tournament at the quarterfinal.

The young Samba Boys fell 3-2 to Israel in a match played at the  San Juan Stadium  this Saturday night.

After a goalless first half, Brazil opened scoring in the 56th minute through Marcos Leonardo. But four minutes later, Israel equalised through Anan Khalaili.

With nine minutes remaining in regulation time, Brazil regained the lead through Matheus Nascimento.  But never say die! Israel responded two minutes later as Hamza Shibli responded with another equaliser that dragged the game into extra time.

In the 105th minute, Dor Turgeman scored the winner for Israel who become the first team into the semi-final.
